Just got back from driving for the second time. I was much better today, only ended up in lawns two or three times. Still the queen of brakes. And this time I didn't hijack the car and take it back home before my time was up, like I did last time. (What? I saw my street and got all homesick and took it home, it could happen to anyone!)

Just a few times. I turn the wheel too much when turning and then end up in a lawn with no recollection of how I got there. But the lady said I did much better this time.

What fun learning to drive. NOT. But once you can it gives you great freedom.

I worked after school (when other kids were taking drivers ed) to pay my tuition at a local Catholic school, so I didn't learn to drive until I was married and pregnant. Larry (thank God for his patience) taught me to drive and I got my license after my first daughter was born.

We did do the lawn thing once though when he was driving our senior year in high school and the brakes went out in the car. He was going down the drive from the school which was on a hill and a row of houses was coming at us very fast. He cut the car sharply to avoid going into the houses in front of us and we ended up going through the front lawns, taking out mailboxes trying to get the car to stop. Scary, but no one was hurt.

Have fun, be careful on the lawns!LOL.
