I love surveys. This one is about sims.

Q: How long does your game take to load?
A: 10 minutes now? It used to be less but I have more sims now and more downloads. But a super graphics card + 3 whole gigs of ram (shut up it's a lot for me WHEN I STARTED PLAYING I HAD LIKE .5 GIGS) speeds things up. Back when I played with a super full downloads folder it was like a half hour lol I used to like take a nap waiting.

Q: When making a Sim, what do you prefer: adult male, adult female, teen male, teen female?
A: Usually I make young adults so I can play them through Uni first. And I like females better because they're prettier and more fun to dress up and have so many more hairstyles.

Q: How long does your Body Shop take to open?
A: With all my BS custom content, about... 5-10 minutes? But usually I load it with less if I'm making a specific sim. Like I don't need female or child clothes if I'm making male sims, obvs.

Q: Do you make more Sims in CAS or in Body Shop?
A: BS, because I'm trying to make them more interesting. James, Lily, Sirius, and Remus were CAS sims though.

Q: What's your favorite hair color to put on your Sims?
A: When creating, red, for some reason. Maybe because there are more shades? For sims born in game I keep whatever they get.

Q: How many babies have your Sims ever had from one set of parents?
A: I have one set of lesbians who had 10. 5 from each. All gorgeous.

Q: How often do you experience a glitch?
A: Not too much since I started taking the care of my game really seriously.

Q: Do you make your Sims straight/gay/bi/lesbian very often?
A: Usually whatever way they seem to lean... a lot of times you can tell right away. When I have generations who aren't related I usually do whatever's convenient/cute. I love playing loads of different kinds of sims.

Q: Does your neighborhood have a theme?
A: Harry Potter, duh! And they're all very rich people with very nice gardens and loads of bright colors.

Q: How many downloads do you have in your game?
A: About 3 gigs?

Q: Who is your favorite Body Shop CC creator (meaning skins, eyes, hair, makeup, etc.)?
A: Pooklet's textures, Aelia's clothes... anyone who makes really nice meshes, really. And anyone who does at least semi-Maxis-match textures because photoskinning irritates me.

Q: Who is your favorite CC creator for build and buy?
A: Adele, hands down. I have lots of Parsimonious and Buggybooz stuff but I try really hard not to download too many buy-mode objects.

Q: How often do you play?
A: About 4 or 5 times a week.

Q: Do you watch Sims machinima?
A: you mean sims movies on youtube or whatever? I don't.

Q: Do you read stories/comics made with the Sims?
A: I have in the past. I'm open to doing it again.

Q: What expansion packs do you have?
A: Double deluxe has a lot of functionality from other EPs so it's hard to really say. But I'm supposed to have Uni, Nightlife, and Pets, plus M+G which is where I think I get the shiftable pictures from.

Q: What are you views on building and decorating?
A: I suck at building, but I like open floor plans. Decorating... I'm pretty sparing with non-functional clutter unless I REALLY love it or it fits with the sims on whatever particular lot I'm on.

Q: What is some body shop CC that you tend to over use?
A: I have like 5 eyeliners, all my male sims share like 4 hairs, and there's a Bruno eyeshadow I use a lot because it looks good on everyone. I use it a lot for kids and then branch out when they age up. Plus all my sims get a special lip corner-enhancing makeup.

Q: How often do you need to use "Familyfunds"?
A: I don't. That's why I start new families in Uni, so they can collect stuff with their scholarship money.

Q: Do you like doll Sims?
A: Yeah, but I don't really play them. I only have one I plan on marrying into the family at some point.

Q: Have you ever killed your Sim(s) for the fun of it?
A: Only one and I felt so bad I resurrected her. (Frances the zombie!)

Q: How old are you? When did you start playing?
A: 24 (soon). In 2009. I used to play simtown a lot, does that count?

Q: Do you ever base a Sims family after your own home life?
A: Yep. I've played a few different Ivy and Boyfriend sims.

OMG, I love sims stories so much. Even if I'm not really into the game at a point in time, I always find myself checking the stories page on thesimsresource a couple times a month. The Alibrandi Legacy by tdyannd is fabulous. And EVERYONE should read Simtasia's stories. My favorite one at the moment is one by Orlov called The Price Of Everything. Very interesting plot. Some stories are horrible, but there are some that read like the very best fiction, and the pictures make them so much 'richer'. Ah, I love Sims stories!!

And what the hey is a doll sim? Like the imaginary friends in TS3?

I really just love seeing how people play their game, what custom content themes they choose (ultra-realistic vs maxis-match vs giant jumble), how they photoshop their pictures (lol mine are just straight from the game), all that good stuff.

I'm assuming (as the person who did before me did) that a "doll" sim is just a sim designed/made up to look more doll-like than realistic. I have makeup/skintones that are designed to give them a sort of doll-like appearance, like eyeliner that makes their eyes bigger, very pink blush, very pale, porcelain-looking skintones, etc. I don't play them much because they often have strange looking kids.
