Birthdayyyyy

So, today was my birthday.
It was excellent, as non-childhood birthdays go. Got to wake up late, see my boyfriend, see my family, eat mini burgers and awesome fries and an awesome strawberry lemonade at Ruby Tuesdays, got really neat presents (pretty much exactly what I wanted but never expected to get) from everyone, and generally felt really, really peaceful.
I guess now's as good a time as any to discuss my life plans, as people seem to be worrying and I really wish they wouldn't. They change often, though, but as of this moment:
-I'll be working for one of my father's mortgage/real estate related companies very soon
-Been writing secret, non-discussable writing projects (and have been pleased with what I'm coming up with, and have tentative possible publishing plans... let's just say I've finally figured out how to make short stories marketable)
-Been discussing starting a business with my mother selling children's hairbows, accessories, and other children-related stuff that's hard to find in big chain stores
I have truly decided that I will not be attending college. I know this sounds a bit crazy, but I just don't feel that it's for me. And there's no time limit; if I feel, later in my life, that I need to have a degree or just some classes, I can always take some at PHCC, or wherever. It's just not necessary as of this moment in my life. Not that college isn't a very, very good thing; it is, and it can be a really wonderful opportunity for the kind of learning you just can't get stuck in a small town. But for me? Not necessary. Trust me, I'm better off not in school.
I'm still learning how to drive. It's going frustratingly slow, but it is going.
Things with my boyfriend are also amazing. I love him more than I ever thought it was possible to love someone, a really genuine feeling, and not just of attachment; I admire him, I look up to him, I enjoy his company, our ideals are the same... things are just really peachy. <3
"JK Rowling" sent me an e-card: http://www.bloomsbury.com/harrypotter/bdayowl/default.asp?id=21105
Oh my God, the woman who plays Moaning Myrtle in the Harry Potter movies has my birthday! And she's... 42? Wtf?
I should totally go as her for Halloween or something, heh.
