So today I got the paperback of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs in the mail. I wasn't expecting it but I got a hunch to check outside my door, and there it was! So that was a nice surprise. I wanted to get the book before the movie came out and possibly changed the book or something, since the illustrations are the best part of the whole thing. It's such a cute book. I loved it so much when I was little. And now I can give it to my child(ren) someday.

Also I just added lj-notify to my safe senders list (I haven't gotten e-mailed comments in years, so it always looks like I'm ignoring people) and I think I finally fixed it. I'll be testing it soon.

I generally tend to believe anyone who talks seriously about UFOs and conspiracy theories (like about the Titanic, 9/11, JFK, etc) is just this side of not normal. Not that these situations don't have room for discussion; I do think the government hides a lot of things. I just don't believe in wild speculation, and I do believe that people who see UFOs (especially in groups) can be influenced into believing they saw things they didn't. I also don't believe in distrusting the government or other official agencies when they try to explain things just because they're the government. That's silly.

I do think there must be other planets out there with intelligent life or at least living organisms on them. I just don't believe they've ever come to see us. Maybe we smell.
