I know I had that big I HATE SPRINGSTEAD article I was supposed to type up, but I decided that I really only need to say this:
School lunch sucks.
I got my first school lunch ever at Springstead (I eat the fries, but I've never gotten a whole lunch before) last week or the week before or something.
I had had the popcorn chicken before, because Bianca let me have some of hers once and it tasted like Shake 'n Bake (or however they spell it) so I decided, when I found out that they had it again, that I'd get my own lunch this time.
So I did.
The chocolate milk, to me, was just like Yoohoo. That's okay, because I was expecting something milkier.
I can't remember what side dish I got, but I don't remember it being that bad, it must have been apple sauce or maybe I didn't even get one, I dunno.
And fries, of course, which sucked, as is to be expected.
But the chicken...
I can't even describe what this chicken was like. The texture was weird and it tasted horrible and it was just... just... awful. I mean, really awful.
I made Bianca eat two of them. Nasty, nasty things.
So, in conclusion: Do not eat a school lunch from Springstead. That is all.
Yesterday was the ethnic festival thing. I saw no ethnicity, only kiddie rides. I went with the boyfriend, the son, and Bianca and Jolene. Bianca and Jolene went on some rides and enjoyed themselves; I didn't want to so I stayed with the boyfriend and we enjoyed ourselves just hanging out together.
Today was supposed to be a movie night, but me and Bianca didn't really want to see the movie we were supposed to, so I decided that we'd come to my house instead. See, my mother's been getting friendly with Boyfriend's mother, which is cool, so she said that Mrs. Boyfriend could come here and chill yo while we were at the movies. But since the movie didn't look interesting, I said we could just all come here. Bianca ended up not being able to come, so Boyfriend, his mother, and me and my mother stayed here at my house.
Boyfriend and I hung out in my room while our mothers sat and talked about whatever in the kitchen and living room and wherever. That was interesting; I never really ever imagined him coming to my house, much less having his mother come here. So, yes: my parents know, and all the parents like everyone and everything is happy. My father even gave him a sword, which he left here, but my father doesn't even know he came here yet so whatever. They came here a little before 7:30, and left a few minutes before 11. I hope it happens again soon, because I really like having people come to my house and I really don't like going to the movies (I like collecting ticket stubs, though. If you have any, I take donations.)
I'm bringing a teeny piece of my new blue carpet to school on Monday so you can see what it looks like; EVERYONE who sees it loves it absolutely, so I'm sure you'll like it. I don't know WHAT I was thinking with the bubblegum pink walls and bright sky blue carpet, but it looks fantastic so whatever. I do hope to someday get pictures up; meanwhile, you'll just have to take my word for it that it's BRIGHT.
Things are changing in my life, and it's weird. So many firsts and so many lasts in one year is very confusing indeed. I'm not handling it well, but it's still a good experience anyway, if that makes any sense. The good stuff is truly good; the bad stuff is extremely bad. If these are the best times of my life... meh. But it's okay.
I'm still high off of the excitement of tonight...
But I still get kind of teary everytime I remember that I can't go to Homecoming with my boyfriend because only I have a ticket :( You'll still get to see pictures of my dress, and pictures of the last two Homecomings I went to, but I can tell I won't really enjoy it knowing he's not there. I hope there are lots of my friends there to make up for it; you guys are really great and having you at least would mean a lot to me. :)
Sleep well :)
