er, why am I here again?

lol I forget. Anyway, I'm so ready for April. Soooooo ready for warmer weather on a more predictable scale, BASEBAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL SEEEEEEAAAAAAAASSSSSSOOOOOOOOOON, and... er, I think that's it. But it's still exciting.

Plus it may hold new single news for Kylieeeeeee. Her album is going to come out around June, or so whisper the ~insiders~, so we should get more concrete news in April at least. And Gaga's releasing Alejandro as a singleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee SO EXCITED I LOVE THAT SONG SFM.

I know a lot of Kylie fans would haaaaate it but if Gaga and Kylie did something together for some reason I would DIE. I would die so dead. Just explode in a million dead pieces.

I think Paul's also touring but I suspect I will be missing out on that. Tickets, even the cheaper ones, cost something like the price of a small reliable used car, so... that's out of the question.

In eyelid news, it got worse yesterday but today seems mostly normal. It still hurts a teensy bit if I poke it but if I ignore it I forget anything's wrong so I think by tomorrow it'll be okay.

I also just replied to Dannii on twitter. I'm getting better at this celebrity tweeting stuff. :D

By the way, my twitter name is Ivyette (which is the same as my username on last.fm). If for some reason you want to add me on either site, that would be lovely.

THREE new-old Kylie tracks leaked today from the demo sessions of her last album, X (which is also my favorite album). There's an infamous set of 3 CDRs with 49 demos (some of which ended up on the album) that Kylie fans have been DYING to get their hands on. Including me. One of the songs surfaced as a remix (Sexual Gold) but we've never had any of the demos unremixed, so I'm so excited to hear them (haven't yet because mama is still awake and it's rude to sit here with headphones.)

SO EXCITED THO.

also I dunno if I've mentioned it, but Dannii is pregnant. EEEE BABY MINOGUE

Sims 2 is laggy with the new card. Eh, whatever, it's not that bad.

I love Nutella.

AND DANNII MINOGUE IS PREGNANT! FOR REAL (she confirmed it on twitter!)

THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY FOR NO DAMN REASON OMG I LOVE HER AND HER HOT BOYFRIEND

I wanted them to get married first, not because omgz out of wedlock~!1 but because a wedding would be gorgeous and full of celebrities and I just love weddings.

I hope she names the kid something normal. She and Kylie have a nephew (the one Kylie recorded a song with the Wiggles for) and I can't wait to see what this one is called. AKKASH I bet Dannii will be such a cute pregnant lady!

lmao why does this deserve a whole entry from me? Oh, silly me. Maybe next time we talk about things my flist actually cares about, hmm?

Received a disappointment today regarding my health care (I have no insurance, and haven't since I turned 18, because I'm not in college and/or mentally or physically handicapped) and found out I probably can't get a screening I (think I) need. Basically, it's available for super cheap right now, but because it was prescribed by an actual doctor for a specific reason (it's diagnostic, not just a regular screening) they won't give it to me for the cheap price. Because I'm not old enough for it to be considered a "regular" screening, and have a prescription with a purpose and not just a general "you should have this checked because everyone does".

I'm not super worried, because it's for something that hasn't really affected me at all since it started at, like, 16, and I've had the prescription since August of last year. And even WebMD is cautiously optimistic, there's only like a 20 percent chance I have cancer, which is big, for them. I'm just really, really disappointed that I can't find out once and for all whether or not something's wrong with me because I'm not old enough for a cheap one, and not rich enough to just do it on my own.

People opposed to universal healthcare, tell me why I'm not entitled to know what's wrong with my body. Note that I'm probably not actually listening, because you're all morons, and I don't care who this offends. I really don't. Don't even try to argue this with me.

I took my still-lingering headache and my disappointment, and we cleaned my bathroom. We scrubbed the floor and then stupidly stuck our fingers in bleach cleaner (note to self, your fingernails are not scrub brushes, and your fingers and palms are not rags) and then we took a shower and now we're sitting here with the lingering scent of lemon Lysol all-purpose disinfectant and soft-scrub (WITH BLEACH!!!) I put a fan in the bathroom and I'm in the living room, so I'm not sitting here getting high off of fumes. Clean is good.

Now I need hand lotion, something to eat, probably a nap (probably won't get one) and then I'll get started on dinner, I think. IDK.

Dannii Minogue is good to clean to. Most people put on dance music to dance, I put it on to scrub.

KYLIE. God. She's touring the US but she's nowhere near here. If I had the money, yes, I'd go. But I doubt I'll ever have enough money to just pick up and go wherever my favorite celebrity happens to be. It seems like a waste, despite how badly I'd like to see her. Especially if she brought her sister, that would be amazing. You know how much I love it when people have sisters.

Also, I bought glow in the dark nail polish today. Somehow, my life feels more complete.

OH HI OCTOBER

YOU WOULD EXPLAIN WHY IT'S 55 DEGREES OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW
WHICH WOULD EXPLAIN WHY I AM SO COLD (WE'RE HAVING A COLD FRONT FUUUUUUUU-)

THIS WILL STRAIN OUR FRIENDSHIP

Also, tonight was the first date on Kylie's NA tour, and I am seething with jealousy. Saw her debut a new song (via youtube, natch). ILU KYLIE, NEXT TIME BRING YOUR SISTER

Also just found out (from wikipedia, which means it's guaranteed trufax) that people with a heightened sense of smell (hyperosmia) are also often people who get migraines. Which explains a lot of things. Man, there's a name for every quirk, huh?

--JK Rowling's on Twitter! Her username's jk_rowling. I don't tweet myself, but I follow like a million celebrities. It's fun. Kylie and Dannii are on too.

--Kylie's US tour setlist leaked today! I'm so jealous :( I entered a contest to win 2 tickets to her New York show. I hope I win. (I doubt it.)

--Why do the Rays suck :( Good news seems to be that my favorite players will be back next season. Um, probably. I hate trading :(

--I like Beethoven's 6th. Well, the first part. It's pretty.

I FINALLY FOUND THE ORIGINAL PICTURE I USED TO MAKE THIS ICON WAY BACK BEFORE I HAD A LIVEJOURNAL LIKE SIX BILLION YEARS AGO (yeah, this icon is older than dirt). Shut up, this is totally important news.

In other news, I think I accidentally gave myself heat exhaustion/dehydration again. I r smrt.

Also this song makes me cry (I WILL REMEMBER YOU DANNII! COME HOST TV IN AMERICA I'D WATCH)

Unrelated also: I haven't listened to Real Love (the very top song on my very long list of favorite songs, which includes Disremembrance) in years, and I have the Regina Spektor version in my head, and I... I know some of you folks like her (I think?) so I'll refrain from getting all capslocky, but I really, really do not like this version. Really, really, really. REALLY (oops caps). Luckily Dannii's here to help. Also Kylie. Minogues ftw.

So will I get to see more sun now? YAY. I've been getting all S.A.D.-y lately and I can't WAIT for more sun so I can start writing a lot again.

ALSO LOOK it's the OTHER Minogue in my music today! Zomgz change!

So I'm coming down off of a weeklong panic attack. Seriously, I don't even know what happened, besides nothing.

1. THE GUY WHO WROTE BRAVE LITTLE TOASTER DIED WTF I LOVE THAT MOVIE. I never read the book. Also, that movie is at least 75% responsible for the fact that I am crazy.
http://nielsenhayden.com/makinglight/archives/010413.html

2. There is no 2. I just started making a list because I couldn't figure out how to segue from a panic attack to the totally unrelated death of some guy.

I have been having (coincidentally) some sort of Kylie Minogue fit, in that I haven't listened to anything other than Kylie (and occasionally her sister Dannii, but that doesn't count) since last Mondayish.

So yeah, if anyone in the world has been wondering, I've been off being incoherent with palpitations and paranoia for a week, but it's all good now. Oh, and we got a new TV from Sony and it's nice. I still think 40 inches is too large for a television set (and the picture cuts off on the bottom, no matter what picture mode I try except the one where it makes the picture really small but then what's the point of a 40 inch TV if you're only using half of it?) but everything's good now. We got a DVD player that will copy VHS tapes to DVD, which is good, because I spent a large part of my childhood in front of a camera and our home movies are rapidly deteriorating. I suppose I was a camwhore before youtube even existed (before the internet as we know it existed, in fact) and my uncle (a professional) used to make something called "The Gracie Show" that I honestly believed (when I was like 4) was a real show that people watched. Obviously not that many people, because I wasn't famous, but I dunno, I didn't put that much thought into it.

I suppose that's enough parenthesis for one entry.

Man, I keep writing entries about you, Kylie. But I can't help it. The best thing about you is that you've been around since I was born, I think, which means there is LOTS of music of yours for me to listen to (and don't listen to the haters, X is an awesome album and In My Arms is on my list of non-Beatles favorite songs as of right now, because it is AWESOME) but THEN. BUT THEN.
YOU HAVE A SISTER. HOLY SHIT. I am obsessed with people's siblings. Celebrity siblings especially, but I always want to know what people's sisters look like AND YOU HAVE A FAMOUS SISTER WHO MAKES SIMILAR MUSIC OH MY GOD. So when I run out of your music, I CAN LISTEN TO YOUR SISTER.
DO YOU REALIZE HOW AWESOME THAT IS IN MY WORLD? I DON'T THINK YOU DO. IT IS SO AWESOME.
So, Dannii Minogue. Go Fug Yourself referred to you as the Lesser Minogue. It's sad, I know, to be in your sister's shadow. And I know I myself kind of think of you as "higher-pitched-if-that-was-possible-Kylie", but honestly, you are also awesome. Just for existing, and also for making really good albums. You've collaborated like once and it wasn't even recorded, just a live thing. IT NEEDS TO HAPPEN MORE OFTEN. I need this, like you don't even know. I need both of you on one album. My head would EXPLODE.
And when I run out of both of you I can just listen to my girl September, the lovely Swede who got me into the whole Kylie/Dannii style of music in the first place.
*fangirl squee*

Oh, right, that novel I'm supposed to be writing, gotcha. I'll go write that now.
